Our Story
In the early to mid-1960s, following a week-long revival at a small church on 9th and Ludlow Streets in Hamilton, Ohio, Reverend Henry Robertson welcomed 15 members into fellowship with the Church of God. Though the young congregation was filled with vision and passion, they soon had to relocate due to city zoning ordinances.
God faithfully provided a new opportunity: a building at 7th and Chestnut. The congregation met in the basement until the previous owners transitioned to their new location on Princeton Road. In 1965, the church was officially organized with the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee).
Soon after, the 7th and Chestnut property was sold, and land was purchased at our current location. In 1967, the first sanctuary was built—establishing what is now known as Fairfield Church of God.
For over 50 years, this church has stood as a Spirit-filled witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our community. Through the leadership of faithful pastors and the dedication of committed members, Fairfield Church of God has reached thousands and served as a spiritual home for hundreds across generations.
Today, Pastors Patrick and Melissa Owens invite you to join us as we continue writing the story. With hearts full of expectation, we press into the future God has prepared—gathering together in worship, growing in His Word, giving of ourselves, and going into the world as faithful disciples.
Come be part of the next chapter.
